Ephesians 2:10

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”

I heard a wonderful word tonight about paying attention and being alert to God’s blessings, and to the tasks, that are assigned by God to our lives, both under His appointed timing. This message reminded me of something else I learned last week in a missions preparation class I attended last week. The subject matter was about the Holy Spirit, and the message was this:

Our everyday lives are to be an act of praise and worship. We don’t need to spend time trying to “think up” wonderful things we can do for God and His Kingdom. 1. Spend time in the Word – not for knowledge, but just to spend time with HIM. 2. Seek Him in prayer. Tell Him everything on your mind and in your heart. Don’t be afraid to ask hard questions. Don’t forget to spend some time listening too. 3. Look for what He is telling you and what He is doing in the situations and circumstances you find yourself in every day. In John 10:27 Jesus said “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” He still speaks. Do we know His voice? Are we hearing Him?

Mine and Teresa’s journey has already begun, but in 18 days we will be on the ground in the mission field actually living and walking in the task He has assigned to us under HIS appointed time. Thank goodness He loves to assign impossible tasks to the most unlikely people. 😉
